RENCONTRES TERRA NOSTRA : HISTORIAS DE LA BUENA VALLE

Join us on 16–17–18 October in Sainte Croix Vallée Française for the next Terra Nostra 2026 festival, focusing on documentary films.

Screening of the film “Historias de la buena valle” by José Luis Guerin (2026, 125 minutes), on Sunday 18 October at 6.30 pm.

It is with great pleasure that we are screening José Luis Guerin’s latest film. And it is difficult to write this introduction without noting that this director is undoubtedly one of today’s greatest documentary filmmakers. His latest film is proof of this in every respect. With *Historias de la buena valle*, Guerin returns to the style of cinema characterised by multiple narratives that bring to life a specific, threatened community. Here there is no detachment, but rather the filmmaker’s presence as he meets the people and shares in the unique qualities and differences that make life together so rich. Filmed with a sensitivity that is constantly alert and always attentive, the film is an immersion into these shared lives that carry us and sweep us far, very far away from a deadly world that ought not to be our own.
