For three days, the streets of Le Malzieu will come alive, briefly recapturing the bustling spirit of the Middle Ages. Musicians, jesters, storytellers, and singers will enchant you, and a few surprises await—but shh… it’s a secret!
The grand medieval market will amaze you with its diverse array of products. Be sure to stop by the Médiévales shop to pick up a few items and support the association. Don’t forget the raffle and the prizes up for grabs, either. Skilled artisans will showcase their craftsmanship, while numerous encampments bring the daily life of medieval Malzieu residents back to the present.
You can feast at any time in good company and sample hypocras (spiced medieval wine) at the food stalls.
To truly step into medieval history, get into costume at the “Ateliers de Jehanne”—loyal supporters of our festival. For three days, you can transform into a noble, a knight, a peasant, or a vagabond—whatever you choose—without breaking the bank.

Malzieu Medieval Festival 2026
The Malzieu Medieval Festival is a highlight of the cultural season in Lozère. The theme for the 2026 edition is ‘Women of the Middle Ages’. Join us on the weekend of 15–17 May 2026 in the heart of the village of Malzieu.
