Phot’Aubrac festival 2026
PHOT’Aubrac is a nature, wildlife, and human photography festival whose ambition is to promote the diversity of photographic perspectives on our planet through environmental issues, biodiversity, climate, the sixth mass extinction, sustainable development, and more.
The festival takes place every year in mid-September at around fifteen sites around Nasbinals, Aubrac, Marchastel, Saint-Urcize, and Laguiole. This event spans the Lozère, Aveyron, and Cantal departments, with between 50 and 60 photographic exhibitions installed both indoors and outdoors in iconic locations, often inaccessible the rest of the year. Admission to the exhibitions is free.
The event also offers evening screenings and talks under a tent, followed by meals (tickets required), as well as opportunities for photographers and the public to interact. Supported by 80 volunteers and the local community, the festival welcomes approximately 25,000 visitors each year.
