Every summer, the village of Chanac hosts ‘Détours du Monde’, a must-see festival in Lozère dedicated to discovery, music and an openness to the world.
For several days, artists from all corners of the globe gather in the heart of the Lozère region to share their cultures and musical worlds. Concerts, meet-ups, shows and entertainment punctuate the festival in a warm, festive and thoroughly convivial atmosphere.
Détours du Monde invites the public to venture off the beaten track and discover sounds, traditions and artists from around the world. Beyond its musical programme, the festival is a genuine space for encounters and exchanges, where locals, visitors and artists come together.
Set in the unspoilt surroundings of the Lot Valley, the event also offers a wonderful opportunity to explore Chanac and the countryside of Lozère.

The ‘Détours du monde, voix et échos du monde’ festival is a musical event not to be missed in the height of summer. It takes place from 11 to 18 July 2026 across Lozère, Cantal and Aveyron.
