SEMAINE DU GOÛT 2026 : LE CAFÉ L'ESSENTIEL

From 12 to 18 October, the Cévennes Tourist Office at Mont Lozère is celebrating the rich culinary heritage of its region.

To mark the occasion, Café L’Essentiel is taking part in LA SEMAINE DU GOÛT!

On Saturday 17th at lunchtime and in the evening, come and enjoy a menu specially created for the occasion, based on the theme: “At our Grandmothers’ Table”!

Starter: Tarte with sweet onions from Le Vigan and thyme
Main course: Baron des Cévennes pork loin with Reinette apples, caramelised shallots and chestnut polenta
Vegetarian alternative: Potimarron squash stuffed with chestnuts and Pélardon cheese
Cheese: Sheep’s milk Tomme
Dessert: Goat’s faisselle, chestnut cream, candied chestnut pieces and honey tuile
