42km loop trail to explore the northern tip of Lozère, in the heart of the Margeride region. With its varied landscapes of plains, forests, and valleys, its rolling hills, and its altitude ranging from 1112 meters to 1379 meters, this GR de Pays Tour de la Margeride trail is sure to surprise you. This route can be divided into two or three days to fully appreciate the beauty of the scenery, the tranquility of the area, and the charm of the small hamlets encountered along the way. Along the route, you can visit the following remarkable sites: the medieval town of Malzieu-Ville, the Brassalière mountain hut, the ruins of the Notre Dame de Beaulieu chapel, Paulhac-en-Margeride, the hamlet of Amourettes, Julianges, Saint-Léger-du-Malzieu, the Fairy Gate (La Porte des Fées), and more.
