Description

47km loop trail overlooking the Chassezac River and gorges. This hike offers breathtaking, sweeping views of the Cévennes landscape. Along the way, you'll discover the Villefort, Rachas, and Pied de Borne dams, as well as the village of La Garde Guérin, listed among the most beautiful villages in France. You can also see the famous Cévennes railway line, still in use today. With an elevation gain of 1570m, this GR de Pays Tour du Chassezac trail is challenging but can be completed in two days, allowing you to fully appreciate its heritage and scenery.
