Climbing in Lozère
Lozère offers climbers over 950 routes and 20,000 metres of climbing across 20 very diverse natural sites. Climbing is playing an increasingly important role in the range of sporting activities on offer and in the development of natural areas. The department boasts a wide variety of natural sites, from the granite cliffs of the Upper Chassezac Gorges to the schist of St Julien du Tournel, via the numerous limestone cliffs of the Jonte and Tarn Gorges. Lozère offers climbers a variety of climbing styles. Nature has thus provided us with some impressive climbing sites in Lozère, featuring dizzying cliffs – much to our delight!
