Gliding is the sport of flying a glider which, apart from being towed into the air, winch launch or auxiliary power (motor glider), by utilising thermals – rising currents of warm air – which allow for long, silent flights during which it is not uncommon to fly alongside a paraglider. Lozère has everything it takes to combine tourism and aviation: four aerodromes, exceptional scenery, often favourable weather, excellent restaurants, and a wide range of outdoor and discovery activities.
