AROUND THE VENTALON - PONT DE MONTVERT - SUD MONT LOZERE

From Pont de Montvert, follow the D998 towards Vialas. Pass through the undergrowth of the Bougès state forest, then over the Croix de Berthel pass. Magnificent descent towards Vialas with the Luech below. The view opens up towards the South East, the Ardèche and the Gard. Majestic Trenze cliff in the foreground, Ventoux in the distance. At Vialas, take the small road below towards the Col de Banette. Superb climb. After the pass, you join the road of the crests which you go up towards Espinas and the cross of Berthel.

Don't hesitate to stop at the Relais de l'Espinas, welcome and pleasure guaranteed. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Cevennes and all its valleys. The long valley below and a breathtaking panorama. Return to Pont de Montvert.
