Established and run by the same family since 1933, the Café du Commerce remains the oldest café in Mende. Nevertheless, the Commerce retains an intimate, warm, friendly, and festive atmosphere. Amidst a decor of enamel plaques, frescoes, and stained glass, an authentic English telephone booth has even found its place. For several years now, this establishment has been dedicated to the owner's passion: beer. Corsican beers from the Brasserie Piètra are featured on tap, along with a Christmas beer, a spring beer, and a current beer of the moment, which changes according to the owner's latest discoveries. Furthermore, the owner, co-founder of the Brasserie de Lozère "La 48," will introduce you to his selection of 11 craft beers. The café also boasts a terrace that is very popular with locals and tourists alike when the weather is fine. Lunch is served only.
