THE VIAFORT
Located at the start of the Villefort Via Ferrata, this viewpoint, accessible on foot, offers a beautiful perspective of the Altier River and the meanders it has carved through the valley. Adding to this majestic setting are a railway bridge and a rock formation in the foreground, which change with the water level of the Altier, making the ViaFort a truly remarkable spot in the area.

Location details
In the village of Castanet, take the bridge to continue along the Altier river. Follow the signs to the Via Ferrata parking area, located on a hairpin bend. The path continues on foot and is easy to spot.
