THE BAR BRIDGE
The section of the Tarnon River downstream from the Pont de Barre is undoubtedly the most convenient access point from Florac. It's also known as the Fairy Rock because of a legend involving one of the lords of Saint-Julien-d'Arpaon. An artificial weir creates a small, soothing waterfall and divides the Tarnon into two pools: a shallow area with a lovely sandy beach on the right bank and a deeper pool about a hundred meters long on the right bank.
Location details
To reach the river, take the Meyrueis road for seven hundred meters after the roundabout at the exit of Florac. The Pont de Barre is on your right on the Avenue des Cévennes.
