SAINT JAMES… MECCA

The film Saint-Jacques… La Mecque, directed by Coline Serreau in 2005, is a dramedy that recounts the journey of a group of walkers on the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Many scenes in this film were shot in the Lozère region, in the Aubrac, Cévennes, and Mont Lozère mountain ranges, as well as in the villages of Pont-de-Montvert, Altier (Château du Champ), and Prinsuéjols. Not far from the Col de Bonnecombe pass is the Buron des Rajas, which in the film is the mountain hut where the only signal is under a tree.
