For the documentary "La vie Moderne", released in 2008, Raymond DEPARDON set up his camera in various farms in the Cévennes region to raise numerous questions about agriculture and livestock farming in the mid-mountains, the rural world and peasant life in the 21st century, migration patterns between towns and countryside, the European Union and agreements on agriculture, the rural economy and the agricultural crisis… Lozère, a land of extremes, offers a unique setting for this director considered one of the masters of documentary film.
