Nestled in the heart of the Cévennes mountains, the Martinet waterfall is one of the hidden treasures of the Gardon de Mialet river. Please note: the access path to the Martinet waterfall via the irrigation channel is closed by municipal decree of April 29, 2022, for safety reasons. However, swimming in the Gardon at Martinet is permitted; access is from the parking lot next to the Martinet restaurant, 1.5 km from Saint Etienne Vallée Française in the direction of Saint Jean du Gard.

Location details

1.5 km from Saint Etienne Vallée Française towards Saint Jean du Gard, you can park in a shaded car park by the roadside next to the restaurant Le Martinet and access the river directly.
