LUCY

Luc Besson's hyper-connected science fiction thriller, released in theaters in August 2014, features several landscapes of the Tarn Gorges. In the film, Lucy, the "first woman," an Australopithecus, appears twice on the banks of the Tarn River. In the second scene, the two "Lucys" meet in the same way that God and Adam meet in Michelangelo's fresco, The Creation of Adam, on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. These two scenes were filmed discreetly in September 2013 in the commune of Saint-Chély-du-Tarn, near the hamlet of Hauterives.
