37.2° IN THE MORNING

Lozère was the setting for the filming of Jean-Jacques Beineix's "Betty Blue" (37.2° le matin) at the end of summer 1985. Among other locations, you can see Lake Saint-Andéol in the Aubrac region, but the heart of the filming took place in Marvejols, the piano-dealing town where Zorg and Betty stay in the film. The building on the town's main square, which housed the piano shop, now houses a bank. The church, the main street, and Place Henry IV are also easily recognizable. Marvejols still bears the marks of the excitement it experienced during filming. It's true that some scenes, starring Béatrice Dalle and Jean-Hugues Anglade, caused quite a stir: weren't they filming a pornographic movie?
