SEVRES VASE

At the beginning of the Jonte Gorges, erosion has carved strange shapes into the limestone cliffs. One of them has become famous: the “Vase de Sèvres.”

Several hiking trails start from Le Rozier or the Causse Méjean, offering breathtaking views over the dizzying Jonte Gorges. Along the way, you’ll spot a monolith shaped like a vase, standing proudly above the canyon. Often circled by vultures gliding overhead, the Vase de Sèvres is a must-see highlight on this spectacular and vertigo-inducing hike.
