On one of the slopes of Mont-Lozère, upstream from the village of Runes, the departmental road 35 winds its way between a landscape curiosity: magnificent granite chaos.

These chaos are made up of blocks of granite of volcanic origin dating from around 310-315 million years ago. They are the most charismatic rocky massifs of Mont-Lozère
