MEDIEVAL TRAIL IN THE APCHER LAND – MARGERIDE

This route transports you to one of the eight baronies that once comprised the Gévaudan region. Discover the Tower of Apcher, which, thanks to the Friends of Apcher Castle association, is regaining its former glory. Your journey then takes you to the fortified village of Malzieu, the setting each year for historical reenactments where legends and Templars intertwine in a medieval setting. Finally, you'll reach the village of Saint-Alban and its 12th-century castle.
