PLEASE NOTE! THIS TRAIL IS CLOSED ON WEEKDAYS DUE TO FORESTRY WORK ONGOING UNTIL MID-DECEMBER 2026.
This easy walk will give you a better understanding of the Mende state-owned forest, where open areas alternate with dense, austere stands of trees.
The forest was planted by the state on land that had been depleted and leached by intensive sheep farming over several centuries. This had led to the deforestation and depletion of these lands. A peaceful, family-friendly walk through the Austrian black pine woods of the Causse de Mende

Access information :

Prendre la RD 25 en direction de l'Aérodrome de Mende puis suivre la direction "Panorama de la Croix du Mont Mimat" puis "Ermitage Saint-privat".Le parking du parcours sportif se trouve au bout de la ligne droite avant de redescendre à l'ermitage.
