These include the Tarn Gorges, a canyon between the Causse Méjean and the Causse de Sauveterre plateaus; the Aubrac plateau with its lakes route, the Déroc waterfall, and numerous traditional shepherd's huts (burons); the Margeride mountains; and the Cévennes National Park with Mont Lozère. For nature lovers, there are many hiking areas: Le Monastier is located on the Pope Urban V hiking trail; Lake Charpal, a wild and secluded lake with a 9 km marked trail around it; Lake Moulinet, perfect for swimming, walking, and a family atmosphere; Marvejols, 6 km away, with its Saturday morning market; La Canourgue, 15 km away, with its Tuesday morning market; and Mende, 30 km away.
