In a hamlet in the commune of Cans et Cévennes, the Gîte des Bancels welcomes you for stays from April to October for 4 to 6 people in a very peaceful and unspoiled setting near the heart of the Cévennes National Park. It is located at an altitude of 900 meters, at the foot of the Bougès mountain, a transitional massif between the Cévennes valleys and Mont Lozère. Its location also allows for quick access to the Causse Méjean plateau. It is the ideal place for nature lovers and hikers. From the gîte, you can easily explore the surrounding area thanks to the numerous hiking trails, including the famous Stevenson Trail (GR 70), which leads to Florac or Pont de Montvert. The gîte boasts exceptional views over the Sistre Valley and the foothills of the Causse Méjean. It is accessed via a small, winding 8km road which you take from Saint Julien d'Arpaon when leaving the RN 106. It is a house made of schist stone with a slate roof.
