TOURNOI DE TAROT

On Friday 27 November, Le Sillon Lauzé is organising another tarot tournament! This event has already been successfully held twice this year by the tireless volunteers at the Marvejols cultural café, as part of their efforts to add a bit of variety to the ‘Ludi’Dredi’ evenings. Tarot enthusiasts, we look forward to seeing plenty of you there!

Tarot is both an individual and a team game; it is usually played by four players using a special deck of 78 cards, but can also be played by five. (The variant chosen for the tournament will be decided based on the number of entrants and the preferences of the majority of participants.)

If you’re not familiar with tarot, here’s a quick introduction:

One player (the declarer) plays against the others (the defence), who play as a team. The declarer must score a certain number of points based on the number of tricks they win.

These points are calculated according to the cards making up the tricks won by the declarer. The aim of the defence is to prevent the taker from fulfilling their contract, or at the very least to limit their score.

The team line-up changes at the start of each round.

If you’ve never played before, do come along from 7.00 pm to try your hand at the beginners’ table run by our experts!

To take part in the tournament, which starts at 8.00 pm, please register by completing the form below, and make sure you arrive between 7.00 pm and 8.00 pm to confirm your registration… A small contribution will be asked of each participant* so that the tournament winner can take home a Sillon Lauzé T-shirt as a prize!
