Learn how to re-seat chairs using marsh straw.
During the three-day course, you’ll be introduced to the technique using a practice stool, followed by the re-seating of a complete chair that you bring with you. No chairs with removable frames.
An introduction to different weaving techniques (rye, fabric)

Alix and Danièle will show you various techniques for restoring chairs using marsh grass, rye or even strips of coloured fabric!
You’ll learn how to re-straw a chair using marsh grass or rye straw.
You’ll be able to fully re-straw one chair and then start on a second one. By the end of the week, you’ll discover how to create fabric strands (rentissuage).
Chairs can be provided (€10 extra)
Meals, which you’ll bring yourself, are eaten together.
