SOURCES POÉTIQUES 2026

Now in its sixth year, the Sources Poétiques festival runs throughout October, exploring much of the Lozère department, from Aubrac to Margeride and from the Peyre region to the Lot valley.

Once again this year, we’ll be presenting collaborations between contemporary poets and artists and musicians, such as Christine Zayed, a Palestinian virtuoso on the qanun, a 78-string Middle Eastern instrument.

There’ll also be a grand piano, songs in every language, an Armenian duduk flute, a Chinese hulusi and the marvellous cello of Lola Malique, who is doing us the great honour of returning to Les Sources after setting the stage alight at Le Quartz with the Haitian poet Jean d’Amérique in 2023.

We will whisk you away on a journey of “scents of thyme and travels” for a grand “poetic celebration”, featuring readings, an exhibition, talks, concerts and books.

On-stage readings with renowned musicians, bilingual readings – whether performed, theatrical or intimate, unamplified gatherings – always fostering a close connection with the audience; but also an exhibition, writers’ residencies, a poetry book fair, film screenings, debates and workshops for children. The festival reinvents itself with every edition to showcase the vitality of contemporary poetry in the diversity of its voices, forms, styles and languages.
