SOIRÉE BALKANIK BALLROOM @ SALLE POLY

It’s been a while since Sillon Lauzé last took over the Salle Polyvalente in Marvejols to host a big, wonderful party open to everyone, but it’s finally happening – see you there on Saturday 7 November!

For the occasion, we’ll obviously be pulling out all the stops to offer you an evening that’s not only musical and festive, but also fun and joyful! As soon as the doors open at 6.30 pm, come and enjoy the warm atmosphere of this exceptional evening, which the volunteers from the Café Cult’ association have been enthusiastically preparing for several months…

At 7.30 pm, the end-of-year Grand Blind Test will begin, played in teams of four (registration on the door until 7.15 pm – don’t be late) before we welcome an explosive band, who’ve come all the way from Brittany especially to get us dancing and transport us to other worlds with the sounds of their Balkan fusion:

As a preview of a national tour to celebrate their 15th anniversary, the HOP HOP HOP CREW are doing us the immense honour of travelling all the way to Marvejols to set the dancefloor alight with their incisive and modern compositions.
Driven by a powerhouse bass and drum section, a fiery accordion and a versatile keyboard, the saxophone and electrifying clarinet run riot. Vocals – at times punchy, at times hypnotic – take us on a psychedelic, multilingual journey to the far reaches of Eastern Europe, by turns calling us to celebrate and casting a spell over us. A stage presence that transforms every concert into a unifying whirlwind where dancing comes naturally and sweeps every audience member along.

Following this intensely vibrant show, it is, of course, L’Oreil Musical who will take control of the Sillound System decks to keep the evening going, with a wild selection of music in the purest Balkan beat tradition that our friend Oreil is so fond of…

And, the icing on the cake: we’ll have the chance to enjoy a meal on the spot with the delicious cuisine from Philippe Catering.
