A sensitive and humane documentary theatre piece that gives a voice to those who feed the world, exploring their struggles, hopes and the future yet to be shaped.
In 2011, Adoc Compagnie set out to meet farmers in Belgium and France to create a documentary theatre piece about the farming world. More than ten years on, the company is hitting the road again, gathering new testimonies and updating this essential story. With understated and sensitive direction, *Feeding Humanity is a Vocation* (2025) gives a voice to those who work the land: their joys, their doubts, their anger, their loneliness, but also their desire to invent new ways of producing food. Amidst bankruptcies, takeovers, retraining, solidarity and agroecology, the production paints a deeply human portrait of today’s agricultural world. One question runs through the performance: who will feed the world tomorrow, and how?
