Montpellier National Orchestra // symphony concert

Building on a long-standing partnership, the Montpellier National Orchestra returns to Mende with a programme featuring three early works in which the composers’ individual styles are already evident, despite their relative youth. The concert opens with Jean Sibelius’s *Impromptu for String Orchestra*, with its intimate and moving atmosphere.
Next, Camille Saint-Saëns’s *Suite in D major, Op. 49* unfolds a graceful and luminous melody with clarity and refinement.
Finally, balancing romantic fervour with classical restraint, Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 11, brings the programme to a close with brilliance and intensity.
