Two little girls run off from a picnic. They stop in front of a little oasis of life: a pile of dung. Insects are swarming. They wonder about the holes in some of the cowpats. Their investigation leads them to discover the dung beetle. From egg to adult, we follow its transformations. From the dung sculptor to games played with dung, we discover the fascination that dung holds for people. However, many farmers give their herds a worming treatment which remains intact in the dung and kills the insects. Others are developing alternative methods. Three livestock farmers share their experiences.
