The Cinéma Le Trianon in Mende presents the ballet *La Bayadère*.

Synopsis
Set in a fantastical India, where a gigantic elephant parades before the rajah’s sumptuous palace and a golden idol follows a fan dance, the ballet tells the story of the thwarted love between the warrior Solor and the bayadère Nikiya, a sacred dancer.

Presentation
A jewel in the Paris National Opera’s repertoire, *La Bayadère* dazzles with its virtuoso variations, its impressive ensemble scenes and the purity of its ‘Act of the Shadows’, during which 32 dancers in white tutus slowly trace their arabesques with a poetry bordering on magic.
