JOURNÉE D'OUVERTURE D'OCTOBRE ROSE. 6ÈME ÉDITION

October will be dedicated to raising awareness of screening, prevention and solidarity.
Join us on Saturday 3rd for the official launch of Pink October, featuring activities in the media centre car park and the launch of a big raffle!
Programme for the day:
11.00 am – Two children’s races organised by Sport Nature Haute Lozère, starting from the municipal stadium – registration from 10.30 am. 400m for 6–8-year-olds / 800m for 9–11-year-olds.
2.00 pm – Walk organised by the Club Rando Margeride Aubrac, covering between 6 and 8 km. Registration at 1.30 pm in the media library car park.
From 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm – Parade through the town by Studio T-Dance and demonstration in the media centre car park.
From 2 pm to 5 pm – Activities in the media centre car park:
Le Pot-Poète with its wooden games.
Les Fées des Huiles offering introductory workshops on scents + 3.30 pm: relaxation discovery workshop.
Lozère Play with activities centred around board games.
Raffle tickets on sale. Crêpes on sale. Cakes on sale
made by the Sacré Coeur Hotel School.
From 4.00 pm to 4.30 pm – Aikido demonstration by Arts Martiaux de la Margeride.
From 4.30 pm – Introduction to traditional dance and music by the Bourrée Barrabande.
Refreshments served by the Saint-Chély d’Apcher Fire Brigade from 2 pm.

THROUGHOUT OCTOBER 2026:
Aqua aerobics classes in aid of the charity “Pour eux, pour leur vie,
pour demain”. Maximum 35 people – €5. Date to be confirmed.
Participation by the Barrabans Pétanque Club.
Participation by the Lozérien Billiards Club.
Participation by the “Sur les Chemins Barrabans” association.
Participation by the Saint-Chély Motorbike Club.
Participation by the Twinning Committee with the town of Tadcaster.
Participation by the Model-Making Club.

Raffle tickets will be on sale in local shops from 3 October. For €2, have a go at winning hampers and other prizes donated by Barraban shopkeepers and craftspeople.
On the same ticket, you can also give your guess as to the number of bras on display in Saint-Chély. The person whose guess is closest to the actual number will be generously rewarded!
The money raised through your donations will be donated to the Géode at the Fanny Ramadier Hospital, the ICM research centre, and the charity “Pour eux, pour leur vie, pour demain”.
The raffle draw and announcement of the competition results will take place on 14 November 2026 at 2.00 pm at the Socio-Cultural Centre.
