FÊTE DE LA NATURE

Come and celebrate nature on Sunday 18 October 2026 in La Fage-Montivernoux for a day packed with activities. The day will begin at 9.30 am with a free walk of around 7 kilometres around the Puy de Montivernoux; registration takes place on the spot in front of the village hall from 9.00 am. At 11.00 am, Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Jean Pelletier of Mende. From 12.00 pm, an aperitif and a traditional Auvergne meal costing €20 will be available on site at the village hall or to take away, accompanied by the horn players of the Rallye des trompes Cévenoles; booking is recommended. The afternoon will continue from 2.30 pm with an e-bike ride led by Aubrac Electro Vélo. At 3.30 pm, attend the talk by Lauriane Galtier, a professional photographer and storm chaser, who will be present throughout the day. The raffle draw will take place at 5.00 pm. Throughout the day, you can enjoy a craft and local produce market, bread baked in the village oven, demonstrations by chainsaw woodcarver Patrice Lesage, animals from the Lozère Poultry Club, an information stand on ticks, tiger mosquitoes and processionary caterpillars, as well as a family creative workshop run by ‘Un rêve de Balbu’, not to mention the refreshment stand.
