EXPO HUDA + PERF’ B-BOY ET SOIRÉE PLATINES

As part of Integration Week, the residents of the Emergency Accommodation Centre for Asylum Seekers run by the La Traverse charity invite you to come and see their creations at the opening of the exhibition “Les Traces de l’Exil”, at Le Sillon Lauzé in Marvejols, on Friday 9 October at 6.00 pm.

The works on display were conceived and created around this theme by around fifteen people during five weeks of workshops held at the La Perm premises (Aurore charity) in Marvejols. Each participant was thus able to express their personal experiences of exile through drawing, painting and/or writing, and this opening night will provide an opportunity to share and discuss with them their respective journeys and their creations.

To round off the evening, Chris Bella B-BOY, an acrobat and professional dancer originally from Sierra Leone (who notably took part in the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games), currently hosted by HUDA at La Traverse, will give a short demonstration of acrobatic hip-hop dance at around 7.30 pm.
DJ Sniper will then take to the decks at Le Sillon Lauzé to host the evening and get the dance floor going with a selection of Afrobeat and world music.

To ensure you don’t miss a thing, the Philippe Catering food truck will be on the terrace of the community café, so you can enjoy a bite to eat on the spot. So please do come along in large numbers to enjoy this artistic and festive evening, which celebrates interculturalism, sharing and humanity.
