Gabrielle, a surgeon and head of department at a public hospital, is constantly on the go and stretched thin, overwhelmed by her responsibilities. She has little time left for her private life. When a novelist comes to spend a few weeks in her department for the purposes of a book, her balance is thrown off. In the daily routine Gabrielle has built for herself, is there room for the unexpected?
