To mark Tobacco-Free Month, the municipality of Fournels invites you to the ‘Horizon Sans Tabac’ event. Whether you’re a smoker keen to quit, still considering it, or supporting someone who wants to quit, this afternoon is for you. A number of healthcare professionals will be on hand to support you and answer your questions. You’ll be able to test your cardiorespiratory fitness with physiotherapists. A dietitian will offer nutritional advice to help prevent weight gain whilst you’re giving up smoking. An acupuncturist will introduce you to non-medicinal approaches designed to reduce withdrawal symptoms. A specialist nurse will also be on hand to help you assess your exposure to tobacco. Finally, nicotine replacement therapies will be available on prescription at the event, along with free follow-up support throughout November.
