Take part in a dramaturgy workshop – in other words, a ‘group reading’ – based on an extract from Copi’s astonishing and zany play, *La Pyramide*.

Founded in 2013, IMBIDO practises a form of literary and performative theatre that explores the dynamics of the encounter between the actor and the text. Literary, because at the heart of every project lies a work – whether dramatic or not – chosen for the strangeness of its language and its ability to create imagery. Performative, because the work involves exploring formal protocols (rules of the game in the original sense, choral systems, visual constraints, etc.) that enable the actor to ‘perform’ the text at a given moment.

“IMBIDO” is an onomatopoeic term used in a Basque card game. The player uses it to signal the start of the betting phase.
