TEMPLE OF ST FREZAL DE VENTALON

The temple stands on the site of a former church burned down by the Camisards. The adjoining ruins were purchased by the town council in the early 1980s to build a group accommodation center, an apartment, and a multi-purpose hall managed by the Foyer Rural (community center). In the hamlet of Géripon, a small family cemetery can be seen. Indeed, since the Protestants of the Cévennes region were denied access to Catholic cemeteries, they had to bury their dead on their own properties.
