The Church of Saint-Privat in Altier has been extensively remodeled over time. In the 12th century, it belonged to the chapter of Mende, but it was devastated by Protestants in 1572. The original plan consisted of a single nave of three bays, to which side chapels were later added. Two chapels in the third bay have barrel vaults. The church windows are Gothic, with their quatrefoil tracery. A painting depicting the suffering Christ, wearing a red cloak and a crown of thorns (Ecce Homo), is also noteworthy.
