SAINT-FRÉZAL CHURCH – JULIANGES

The original form of the Church of Saint-Frézal in Julianges dates back to the 13th century, and it underwent transformations over the following centuries. However, the building retains all its Romanesque features, both inside and out. Inside, the church includes a side chapel housing a magnificent wooden and gold altarpiece. The north facade is windowless to protect it from the harsh, cold winds. A Calvary with three monolithic crosses is attached to the south facade of the church. The central cross depicts Christ on the cross with raised arms.
