SAINT-FABIEN CHURCH – RIMEIZE
The church dates from the 14th century. It is Romanesque in style and has an old chapel in the Flamboyant Gothic style, which houses the statue of Saint Fabian, patron saint of Rimeize. The church's history is turbulent, as on January 15, 1791, after the collection money had been taken out, the church collapsed without injuring anyone. This miracle became associated with the church's patron saint, since the accident occurred on the feast day of Saint Fabian. It features a spiral staircase, a masterpiece of craftsmanship. It was rebuilt six years later with the help of all the inhabitants of the town.
