The construction of the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes chapel stemmed from the destruction of the oratory erected on the lower gate of the town during the 16th century. To provide a new home for the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes, at the end of the 19th century, Canon Gibelin and the Quatreuil-Brugeron couple decided to build a small chapel between 1877 and 1880 to replace this oratory and offer a place of devotion for the townspeople and pilgrims. Overlooking the Truyère valley, it is built of granite stone on its lower section and has a light-colored plaster finish on its upper section. Its architecture is simple yet distinctive due to its height and narrow width. The entrance is through a western portal with a pointed arch, surmounted by an oculus. Inside, lancet windows with pointed arches can be seen. The stained glass windows depict Our Lady of Lourdes.
