MUSEUM OF THE TWO ALBERTS

fully guided tour full of surprises! The Two Alberts Museum is housed in the remains of the former neo-Gothic chapel of the Marvejols hospital-hospice. It offers visitors the opportunity to discover and share in the workings of a letterpress printing press. This heritage stems from a workshop founded in the town in 1892 by the great-grandfather of your guide, Daniel Castanier, and will come back to life before your very eyes. You will also be immersed in the treasures of the town's history, both grand and small, dating back to the 11th century. The tour continues with the discovery of numerous archival documents related to the old wool mills established from the 19th century onwards. Finally, a room will allow you to discover the traditional craft of wool processing: carding, spinning with spindles and various spinning wheels. We recommend using the Esplanade parking lot – free – limited to 2 hours in town.
