At the entrance to the Aubrac Regional Natural Park, the village of Le Buisson dominates the landscape. Its origins are very ancient. The village is said to have taken its name from an enormous, bushy thicket that once stood to the north of the village, making it visible from afar. Most of the village buildings are characterized by traditional Aubrac architecture, harmoniously using granite and slate. As you wander through the narrow streets, you can discover a small piece of rural heritage, including a blacksmith's workshop, granite crosses and fountains, and a bread oven. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the square in front of the 19th-century Saint-Anne Church. You can enjoy water sports and fishing at Lac du Moulinet, 2.5 km away, accessible on foot, by bike, or by car from Le Buisson. Located just minutes from the Gévaudan Wolf Park and the Château de la Baume, Le Buisson is a central village for numerous excursions and unique experiences.
