HAMLET OF VAREILLES

Since 1846, the hamlet of Vareilles has been the seat of the parish, with the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi also located there. Simple and uncluttered in style, it is a small granite building closed to the west by a two-story bell tower. The three bells on the first level are notable for their decoration. The hamlet is also known for its mills along the Saint-Pierre stream. Dating from the 19th century, these are rectangular buildings with schist roofs. Remnants of the waterwheel can still be found inside.
