The commune is divided in two by the Coulagnet stream and its picturesque gorges. It comprises five villages: Gabrias, Goudard, Chanteruéjols, Baldassé, and Le Rouve. Its 14th-century church is a fine example of simple and harmonious Gévaudan Romanesque art. The rectory has been converted into apartments. During your walks, you can discover the beautiful fountain in Goudard, the statue of Saint Petronilla on the banks of the Coulagnet, numerous crosses, and the Cougoussac estate, a rural aristocratic residence dating from the 13th to 17th centuries and a former fortified house. Enjoy the old drovers' road (trail for herds) located on the Boulaine mountain, which offers a magnificent panorama stretching from Mont Aigoual to the Plomb du Cantal. The "Urbain V" path crosses the commune.
