CHATEAU DE ROQUEDOLS

The Château de Roquedols was built during the 16th and 17th century and is located on the municipality of Meyrueis in the Gorges de la Jonte. It is composed of two rectagular buildings connected to each other following a right angle and decorated with three round towers.

During the 17th century, it was the centre of the Pourcarès barony. Many owners will then succeed each other until 1938.

It raises its imposing shape in the Bétuzon valley. Quite well preserved as a whole, it is registered on the inventory of historical monuments.

It is possible to park a car on the dedicated area at the entrance of the domain. The stroll around the buildings and the way back to the parking space through the trail ‘Sentier de la Forêt’ allow discovering a remarkable environment.
