AUMONT-AUBRAC

Aumont-Aubrac is a microcosm of different centuries of architecture. The Tourist Office is a typical example of late medieval architecture, spanning three floors. The ground floor is marked by a large archway, the upper floors, which once housed living quarters, are identifiable by their mullioned windows, and the basement features imposing semicircular arches. Other houses, such as the one on Avenue de la Gare, are characteristic of 20th-century architecture, where the buildings impress with both their remarkable size and their imposing design. Scattered throughout the village are small, intriguing structures, such as garden pavilions, recognizable by their pointed roofs.
