PHOTO EXHIBITION: GARDEN IN LOZERE

An exhibition of 85 large-format color photographs is displayed along the paths of the Skete of Saint Foy. They depict diverse landscapes, flowers, and fruits at different times of the year. “Creation is a book; I write it through gardening, photography, poetry, and cooking.” This monk's desire is to reveal the splendor of simplicity. Brother Jean, a former photographer who became an Orthodox monk in 1983 and founded the Skete of Saint Foy, has never abandoned photography. He has presented several exhibitions in France and abroad. The skete resembles a fortified farmhouse built of schist stone, with openings onto an inner courtyard, situated in the middle of a three-hectare property. Built on a rocky outcrop, it overlooks the Gardon Valley and offers magnificent views in every direction. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
